Good Morning Oberon!
Congratulations on your victory, it was a very close contest but you have defeated Titan!
For the rest of the week please concentrate on your studio challenge. Well done to those of you who are already on your way to completing it.
I know lots of you have been really struggling with Maths recently, starting from today we're going to change how we do Maths for as long as you're at home. Maths is one of my favourite subjects and I want you to love it too! Please don't worry about missing out on anything that's in your workbooks, we'll still learn all of the important things and challenge your brains but in a slightly different way
Task 1: 10 minutes on TTRockstars
Task 2: Today we are going to revise our 4 operations. Have a look at the questions below and answer them in your Home Learning Journal. Keep an eye out for any decimal points and show your calculations. I would expect to see column method and long division in your books.
Challenge: Write 3 word problems where solving an equation from above would solve the problem
Example: There were 356 pupils in a school. Each pupil needed 15 exercise books for the year, how many exercise books should the school order?
Can you identify which equation from the above would solve this problem? Now write your own.
Answer the question below, then write an explanation of your choice of answer.
This is the main character from a video we will be using in our writing.
Who is he?
Where is he?
What is he doing?
Why is he doing it?
When does this happen?
Who else is involved?
Now watch the video below, how does it differ from your expectations of the character?
Write a character description based on the video.
For anybody who cannot access the video because they don't have internet access, write your description based on the image.
Next week we will start a project in Aboriginal art. Read the text below and then write a few sentences summarising what you have learnt to help you understand our project.
Find the words in the word search below and practise how to pronounce the words.
Can you tell your parents what the words mean?
Can you use the words in a sentence or conversation?
