Maths

Start with 10 minutes of TTRockstars. Come on Titan, we need to get our numbers up!!!

Now look at Chapter 6, lesson 12 and complete worksheet 12 on pages 178-179

Use the 'look, cover, write, check' method to practice these spellings.

 

English:

Look at the same picture as yesterday, talk to a grown-up about what you see.

Sentence challenge!

Can you make a list of adjectives to describe the mirror?

Can you choose two of your adjectives and write a sentence about what Anna is doing?

E.g. Anna touched the ____,____ mirror with her finger.

Once you’ve done that, can you think of other ways to improve your sentence?

 

NOW...

You step through the mirror ... you're transported somewhere ...

Write a poem, of your choice (acrostic, free-verse, haiku etc) describing what you experience. You could use your senses to help you with this: sight, smell, hearing, feeling, taste.

 

Aboriginal Art:

These are some of the symbols and their meanings that you see in Aboriginal Art. Have a look at the paintings below and see if you can see any of them being used. Does it help you to understand the picture?

 

Have a go at using the symbols above to create your own picture. You might like to make up your own symbols to use. You could create symbols to show what is important in your life.

 

Start by drawing the shapes you want to use then you can build your picture by filling in the spaces with dots of colour. Look as some examples below:
