Happy Wednesday Metis class!


Half way through the week, you can do it!

Don't forget to send photos/videos/messages to the class email so I can see how you are getting on with work and help in anyway I can.

Wednesday 20th


In your packs you will find a sheet with lots of spellings on. Please can you read as many spellings out loud as you can. Choose a line of spellings (5 spellings) and write them in your books.



Reread Bob’s diary entry again.

Do you notice that Bob uses the word ‘and’ lots of times. Can you track the diary entry and count how many times the word ‘and’ is used?


The word ‘and’ helps us to join sentences together. For example ‘I had a cup of tea and two tasty eggs for breakfast’.


Task: Take a look at the picture below of Bob in his house.

Can you write two sentences about what you can see in the picture and join them together using ‘and’. 

For example: 

Bob is wearing a spotty tie and holding a stripy mug.

Challenge: Can you add adjectives to your sentences?


(For grown ups: Let your child sound out and write the words themselves rather than writing it for them)

Practice with your finger the letter formation. Then write the letter as many times as you can fit across a line in your book. 



Go onto numbots for 10 minutes - your log in is stuck in your home learning book.

Practice counting in 1’s to 100.

Practice counting in 10’s to 100.

Practice counting in 5’s to 100.

Practice counting in 2’s to 30.


Write your numbers 1 to 20 in your books.


Work through all the pictures below and write the answers in your home learning book.


Have a go at this activity with someone at home.

You can use any objects- you could use pens/pencils, toys, cereal, sweets, whatever you have at home which you can count and compare!




Read a book from your book bag, or from home if you prefer.
