EARLY MORNING TASKS - get your brains working this morning. 

PE - Time to wake up your bodies.



Zumba Dance Party


Today, you need to practise your spellings 5 times and then put each one into a sentence. Remember, we are always working on improving our sentences. You sentences should be extended sentences using 2 different forms of description in each sentence (adjectives, figurative language, power of 3, synonyms). Your sentences also needs to contain a relative clause and a fronted adverbial. 










Start with Times tables and 10 minutes TTRockstars.


Then fluent in 5.

Read Chapter 4 of our Story (these copies have been sent home to all children - It is really tricky reading from a screen, I know!)

LO: I am learning to write a problem within a story, by using innovation.


We are onto the next part of the problem now. Again, we will be doing looking at the original text, and then innovating it, following the same structure, but changing key details. 


Below is the paragraph that you will be changing, taken exactly from the text 'the game.' Then below that is a model text which I have innovated. You will see that I have continued with my story, changing key details only, but keeping to the structure of the original text.

SCIENCE - New section with the title of 'science' and LO written please. 


LO: I am learning to make notes on my knowledge of space, organising my notes into clear paragraphs. 


We have come to the end of our learning in our science topic. So far, you have learnt about The shape and sizes of the Earth, sun and moon, explored why we get day and night, looked at why we have seasons and why the sun is warmer at certain times of the year, you've looked in detail at the sun and also the orbit and phases of the moon.

That's a lot to write about!


You are going to spend this lesson planning your essay. This will be using the same planning format that we always use when completing essays. You will be given a number of paragraphs that you will need to write about and some key questions which you need to answer. In the boxes provided, you will need to plan what you want to say in each paragraph.


Remember - The more detail you put in your plan, the easier it will be to write the essay.


I've uploaded the plan on 2 sheets as when I did it on one, it wasn't big enough for you to be able to read the key questions.
