You will be continuing with your ghost stories today. Read through what you have written so far to ensure your writing flows.

Today's action:

9. The child is getting more and more scared. They turn on the TV but it doesn't work properly.

Describe how the child feels as their fear grows, try to use show not tell sentences. What can the child see and hear? Is the house silent, or is there a strange noise?

10. There is a knock at the door.

Describe the child hearing the knock. Could they ask a rhetorical question out loud?

How do they feel? What is the weather like?

Reading

Yesterday you were given some questions to take home. Answer them in your home learning journal.

Art

In English you have been writing a ghost story about a country house and a scarecrow. I'd like you to illustrate your story so far. You could do this as a comic strip, a story board or simply sketch the key characters and the setting.
