GOOD MORNING CALLISTO CLASS.
It's Wednesday 13th January. How are you getting on? Don't forget to let me know how you are feeling through the online register. We are now one week into your remote learning and you are doing amazingly.
Below is you work for today. Just do your best with it, but make sure that you complete it neatly and lay it out neatly in your book. I can't wait to see what you have been up too. Please do email us bits of your learning. The best bits will go onto our class weekly celebration on a Friday. Be sure to look out for your work!
As always, any questions, email us or phone the school.

ENGLISH - New section please with a heading of English and the LO written.
LO: I am planning my own section of a key text. - The problem.
Today, we will be continuing to imitate and innovate parts of the story to have a look at how the use of adjectives and verbs can change the impression we get from reading sentences. We will start with a quick game where we innovate the description of the spider to change our impression and thoughts about it. Look at the sheet below.
Now you are ready to start looking at a particular part of the story to try and imitate and innovate it. We never just try and write a whole story in one go, this would mean that we are over run with ideas and can't order them properly and start missing out detail. By taking part of the story and imitating it, (learning it exactly as it is) we can begin to use the exact format to change parts of it. (innovate.)
Have a look at the text extract below. This is the PROBLEM part of the story. Read it through and try and learn it. Then have a go at PLANNING what you will change. Instead of a spider, it could be dragon, instead of the classroom, it could be a library, instead of the table, it could be a bookshelf, instead of the bookshelf shaking, it could be the bookshelf lifting up and hovering in the air. You can use the sheet provided to help you plan your ideas, but be as imaginative as you can.

SCIENCE - New section with the title science and LO written please.

Today, you will be exploring just how we get night and day and why it looks like the sun is moving across the sky.
Below are the slides and the two links that you will need for this lesson to take you to the videos you will need to watch. As you go though the slides, you will see where you need to watch them.
Task
Now that you have read the slides and watched the video. Complete the task below to show and describe how we get day and night. Remember your drawing will need labeling.
