As with every lesson, let's start by recapping all the sounds we have learnt - please say the sounds along with the video as you normally would at school.
Spellings:
In your packs you will find a sheet with lots of spellings on. Please can you read as many spellings out loud as you can. Choose a line of spellings (5 spellings) and write them in your books.
English:
Today we are going to be changing the beginning of Bob’s story to create our own. You can change it to any character you want, even an animal if you wish and where they work- be creative.

Practice with your finger the letter formation. Then write the letter as many times as you can fit across a line in your book.
Maths:
Go onto numbots for 15 minutes.
Practice counting in 1’s to 100.
Practice counting in 10’s to 100.
Practice counting in 5’s to 100.
Practice counting in 2’s to 30.
Write your numbers 1 to 30 in your home learning books.
Can you still subtract? Remember to use the strategies we have learnt such as counting back, taking away objects or using a number line. You could even use your fingers for the 1st and last question.

We are moving onto a new chapter today and we will be learning about length and height.

Read pages 9 and 10 of our book ‘The Moon’ and answer the questions at the end- these can be answered verbally.

When the moon gets smaller what word do we say?

Can you draw the moon cycle on page 9 in your books and label the new moon?
DT:
Today we are going to start planning our rocket that we want to build tomorrow. Have a look at the recycled materials you have collected before designing your rocket. Take a look at some of the examples in the slides below.
Task: Design a rocket that you would like to build. You can design up to 4 before making your decision.
Challenge: Can you label your design with the materials you will use? For example ‘cardboard’ for the wings.
