WILTSHIRE VIRTUAL SCHOOL GAMES
Welcome to week 5 of the Wiltshire Virtual School Games! This week's challenges are based on rugby and a wall sit activity. Further information and video demonstrations on how to complete the challenges can be found below or by following this link https://www.wiltssport.org.uk/virtual-school-games. Entries must be uploaded onto the wiltssport.org.uk website by 3 pm on Friday 3rd July to be included in the competition.
WARM UP
It is always a good idea to warm up before you do a sporting or physical activity. Get on some comfortable clothes and pump up your body and your jam with this intense and awesome workout.
THE CHALLENGES
This week there are two rugby challenges and one wall sit challenge - try them all! Read the instructions carefully and watch the videos below before you start.
Maths
In 1908 the Olympic Games were held in London, that's over 100 years ago. Then, just after World War 2 they were again in London in 1948. Here are the results from some track events;
The 2012 London Olympics were another 64 years later. Use the internet to research the results from then. How did they differ? Could you have predicted the results? Perhaps more importantly, what's the reason for your answer?
The Olympics were going to be this year in Japan but they will now take place next year. What predictions can you make about the results?
