Good morning Metis class. Only 6 days to go until we are all back together.
Take a look at today's learning below.
Soundswrite:
As with every soundswrite lesson, start by saying the sounds we have already learnt.
English:
Within the instructions 'How to make a sock puppet' there are words that tell us what to do. Such as
First, put the clean sock on your hand.
Next, cut out a tongue from the red card with your sharp scissors.
Then, stick the tongue onto the clean sock with sticky glue.
After that, stick on two buttons with sticky glue to make the eyes.
Finally, play with the sock puppet.
Put, cut, stick and play all tell us what to do. We call these words 'imperative verbs' or bossy verbs. They command us to do something.
Task: Can you write 3 sentences that start with a bossy/imperative verb. Take a look at some examples above for ideas.
Spellings:
In your packs you will find a sheet with lots of spellings on. Please can you read as many spellings out loud as you can.

RE:
Last lesson we talked about the queen being a special person and how she is welcomed when she visits places. Today we are going to learn about a visit of a special person.
Watch the video below of Palm Sunday.
How was Jesus welcomed - as a king, celebrity, poor man or just another person?
How do you know?
Why did He ride a donkey?
The people welcomed Jesus like this because they had heard about all the amazing things He did like healing people, calming the storm and they believed He would be the ‘Messiah’, the one who would save them from the Roman ruling.
Task: Can you draw a picture of Jesus being welcomed. Go back and watch the story again, listen carefully to what they people in the story did to welcome Jesus and add these to your picture.
