Good Morning Titan Class!

This Friday (5th) we are inviting everyone to a class Zoom catch up at 9.15am. It would be lovely to see all of your faces, say hi and just hang out for a little while! If you like, you can also share some work or activities that you have been doing at home or at school.

Ask a grownup if they can install Zoom on your computer ( and look out for the link to the catch up on Friday.

Start with 15 minutes on TTrockstars.

Fluent in 5:

Remember to use this hand guide to help you with time vocabulary:

Today's lesson:

Reading analogue time to the nearest minute

In this lesson you will learn to read an analogue clock to the nearest minute.

You will need a pencil and paper for this lesson. Click on the link below and follow the lesson:

See if you can add the minute and hour hands to the clocks, or try and draw the clocks in your home learning journal. Remember the minute hand is longer than the hour hand.

Suffixes are letters that can be added to the end of words to change their meaning.

  • Adding the suffix -ation, turns a verb into a noun. For example, 'inform' becomes 'information'.
  • If the word ends with 'ne', 've' or 're', drop the 'e' then add -ation. 'Prepare' becomes 'preparation'.

Work your way down the list of words taking two each day, writing each word three times and then writing a sentence for each word. Ask someone in your house to help test you.

Part two of the chapter 5 VIPERS is here as a quiz, how much can you score? Make sure you watch the whole video first! -

Can't do the quiz? Watch this video and then answer these questions in your home learning journal.

Why does Tilly decide not to use the machine again?

Why does Tilly leave a note?

Why does the TV news lady burst out laughing?

Why does Tilly recognise the dog’s voice?

Why does Tilly give herself a star?

Predict if the men will come back to the house.

Your activity:

What kind of habitat do the following animals live in? Write these in you learning journal:

Can you guess what animal the riddles below are describing? See if you can test an adult in your house, will they know?!
