Today we are going to carry on looking at dividing 2-digit numbers by 1 digit number. Watch this video to help you.
Today you are going to complete this worksheet. Remember you can complete the worksheet digitally and send it to me by clicking the link at the bottom and opening the document. Either way is fine!

Reading
We are going to look a bit deeper at chapter 7 today, and really focus on the INFERENCE questions.
Start by reading Chapter 7 - I'm on Hold (or listen to it below).
The questions we are going to answer today are longer answers. With these questions they usually require 2 or 3 different points top be made, or one point backed up with evidence.
Take the question :
Why did Anna want to go to DraxWorld so much?
Our answer needs to start with a point.
The point is that she likes thrill rides. Next we need to back this up with the evidence from the text (the part of the text that we have made our inference from). In this case the evidence is: ‘she has two great passions; thrill rides and helping people.’
Now we put this altogether and explain it (we call this the PEE technique - make a POINT, give EVIDENCE from the text, and EXPLAIN the answer). So, my answer could be...
Anna wanted to go to DraxWorld because she loves theme parks. In the text it says, ‘she has two great passions; thrill rides and helping people.’ Passion tells us that you love something, and thrill rides are at a theme park.
You are going to use PEE to answer the following questions (use the link to the Goggle form to do it online, I can see the answers then - google form link)
Why does Liam believe that Anna cheated? (pg 68)
Why are there long silences in the maths lesson? (pg 68)
Why’s Liam annoyed about Samson Two’s win? (pg 72)
Why doesn’t the music stop? (pg 74)
ENGLISH - New section with a title of 'English' and LO written please.
LO: I am learning to understand some of the vocabulary used within the text.
We will begin this lesson by completing the imitation of the 1st paragraph from the text 'The haunted house.' You started doing this yesterday and drew a story map, with prompts to help you. See if you can use only this today, to help you read the first paragraph from memory, and only use the text if absolutely needed.
We are then going to move onto exploring some of the words in the text in more detail. I have chosen some words from the text which I think are very powerful words when used in the correct context. I also think they are words that we need a little more understanding of.
For each word, I would like you to write a definition. - Find out what it means. THEN, you need to rewrite it in your own sentence. HOWEVER, the challenge is, that you have to put it into a sentence that could be used in this setting description. Your words are below.
1. shrouded
2. vapour
3. menacingly
4. mechanical
5. webbed
6. lining
HANDWRITING - New section with the title of 'handwriting' please.
FRENCH - New section with 'French' as the title please.
This lesson is going to require you to log onto language angels. Below are the log on instructions for this.
After you are onto the sight, follow the prompts that I have shown you below. This will insure that you are in the correct lesson.

You will then see this......
Go through the powerpoint. Each slide has a speaker image which indicates that you should click on it. The animal is then read to you so you can hear it pronounced properly. This is what it will look like.
Once you have finished the whole powerpoint, learning the names for basic animals, you can complete the worksheet below. If you can't print it, don't panic, just write the names of the animals in English and then then names of the animals in French, next to them.
