Please remember to share your reading book with an adult every day. Make sure you are saying the sounds and reading the words.

Can you read this page with an adult ? What are the sh words on this page? Do you think the big dog will be his pal?

What would you sell in your ‘sh’ shop? The sh can be at the beginning or the end of the word. My shop sells….. shells…. a dish……fresh fish... etc...


  • Ask a grown up to flash all the letter cards and get you to say the sounds as you see them. 
  • Ask a grown up to flash all the high frequency word cards and get you to say the word you see.


  • Choose 5 High Frequency Words to turn into a colourful rainbow.  Write the word using a pencil first of all and then choose different colour pens to write the word on top each time again and again until you have made a rainbow word.
  • Repeat for 5 different words – you could choose ones that you find difficult to read or write.

Daily Challenge

  • Fill a plastic pot / tub with water outside.  Take a paintbrush and see if you can write your name on the ground / wall with the water. 
  • What other words / patterns can you write? What else can you find to paint with water in the outside area?
  • Send us some photos of your water painting!
