Tuesday 12th May

A wet and windy maths activity today. I bet you didn't know I was a pirate?!

Makaton sign of the day is 'whale'

Sign up for Teach your monster to read. It is free. Play the First steps games with your monster.

If you can't access this, hide your phonics cards around the house and see how quickly you can find them.

Today you are going to go fishing. Put your number cards in a bowl and use a spoon with sellotape wrapped around the end sticky side up. Go fishing! Which number did you get? Fish them out and put them in order.

Can you make a list of all the animals you would find in the sea. Your family can write the list for you. Can you draw a picture to go with your list?

Communication and language

Talk about what you can see in the picture. Encourage the use of words such as he/ she and action words ending in ing. When you have talked about the picture you can then read the sentence. Some of the pictures I have used might inspire your children to want to ask questions and find out more.

Let's get moving:

Can you move like these animals?
