Tomorrow is a very special day: VE day (Victory in Europe) 

Can you look at these pictures of people celebrating the end of World War two. Talk about what you can see in the pictures.


Are you having a celebration tomorrow? Send me a picture if you have made any bunting or you have a special tea planned.


Communication and language

Talk about what you can see in the picture. Encourage the use of words such as he/ she and action words ending in ing. When you have talked about the picture you can then read the sentence. Some of the pictures I have used might inspire your children to want to ask questions and find out more. 


Let's get physical:

VE day: Victory in Europe. Tomorrow is a special day as it is 75 years since World War two ended in Eurpoe. 75 years ago children played games like hopscotch. Can you make a hopscotch on the floor and have a go at playing with your family?
