Good Morning Oberon Class - I hope you all managed to complete yesterday's learning tasks.
We had 5 children in class and 10 of you signed in to show you were tackling your home learning tasks. The children all received a star in class for attending so it is only fair to give a virtual star to all those home learners who signed in. As the days and weeks pass please keep a note of your stars and let me know on the class email when you have earnt 4, and we will make sure your get a certificate for your effort! Please explain the star system to the grown ups at home who are helping you with your learning as they may want to give you stars when they see you working hard on your learning!
Remember to sign the register before you start - and send us pictures as we would love to see what you have be doing.

Activity 1 – Storytelling and mapping
Drawing a map to follow is a great idea plus identifying key actions for words like suddenly, at that moment, carefully, at first. We have done this in class when we were learning to retell and internalise the patterns in 'Should Goldilocks be sent to prison for her crimes? Now have a go at drawing your own story map of 'Adventure at Sandy Cove' - remember you pictures do not need to be a work of art stick men and simple shapes are fine it is meant to help you remember the key points. Then see if you can retell the story in your own words by just looking at the images.
Write a new title in your Home Learning journal to separate your learning.
Write the list of word in your book. Can you count the syllables in each word? Can you show the syllabel breaks in each word?
