I hope you are all feeling more confident with your tables as you continue to practise. Our tournament against Callisto finishes today at 12 o'clock, let's try and surprise them in the final few hours to win!
Email me to ask any questions or to show me what you've been up to! I loved seeing Sam's photos this morning, you look like you're having a brilliant time They did make me quite hungry though - your pizza looked delicious!

Today's Learning
Maths
Start by completing 10 minutes on TTRockstars.
Next, do one of the arithmetic tests in your booklet - the one we use in school that you will find in your packs - I don't want you to forget all of those skills we've worked so hard on in Maths, so try to do these regularly.
I want to make sure that you are all feeling confident with converting the units of measure that we have studied so far this week, remember you can email me if you are unsure! There are some questions below for you to complete in your Home Learning Journals, the best method to use is a place value grid to divide. Remember when we divide by 1000, we move the digits 3 places to the right. When we divide by 100, we move the digits two places to the right.
There was a small mistake on the sheet yesterday, which I've just spotted and corrected, so make sure you check it again if you looked last night.
English
Look closely at the image below. In your Home Learning Journal answer the questions in the grid and improve the 'sick sentences'. To improve your sentences, I would like to see: a relative clause, an example of figurative language and use of either parenthesis or a semi colon.
Question Time | Sick Sentences |
Who is the figure in the distance? Do they have anything to do with the disappearance of the street? Why do you think there is a door in the middle of the road? Do you think there is anyone living in the houses? What do you think is underneath the road? |
The door opened and the light shone through. The buildings were disappearing. There was a figure. |
Reading
Choose a character from a book you have read recently, it could be one we have read together or one of your own. Write an interview between yourself and that character. You will need to think of five questions to ask the character and imagine their responses. Write both sides of the interview (questions and answers) in your Home Learning Journal.
Spelling
Here are come more -tious and -cious words for you to learn. Use your Home Learning Journal to copy out the words and use each one in a sentence; use a dictionary (there are lots of good ones online) to look up any unfamiliar words from the list.
infectious
malicious
nutritious
precious
superstitious
