A huge well done to everyone who has sent me your learning. I love seeing what you are up to. Well done to the families who have managed to get onto Charanga today, I hope you had fun.
Phonics
Look at your phonics cards. Say the sounds you can see.
Can you remember all the things you found beginning with h? Go and find them again and play a memory game. Get an adult to take one thing away, what is missing?
Can you write a big h in your book? Some of you might be able to make the word hat with your letter cards.
Maths
Draw around your hands and your families hands in your book. Use string to measure how long the hands are. Can you order the string, longest to shortest? Who has the longest hand? Who has the shortest hand? Families can record the words your children use to describe the different sized hands.
English
Share your library book together. Ask your child the following questions as you read.
Can you find the front page?
Can you find the title of the book?
Can you point to the words?
Can you point to the pictures?
Can you find any letters that are in your name?
Communication and language
Talk about what you can see in the picture. Encourage the use of words such as he/ she and action words ending in ing. When you have talked about the picture you can then read the sentence. Some of you will be able to read the sentence. Some of you will just be spying sounds that we have learnt.
