Today I would like you to practice some grammar techniques that will help you next week when you will be writing about your newly discovered animal. 

 

Our focus in today's lesson will be on using brackets which are used to add extra information within a sentence without interrupting the flow of the writing.  Begin by reading the following information slide

Research the life cycle of either a mammal, bird, amphibian, reptile - make notes on what you find out.  Scientists show the stages of a life cycle in a circular diagram - see the example below.  Can you show the stages of an animals life cycle by creating one to show the life cycle of your chosen type of animal?
