Today we are going to recap the same sound different spelling  j   g    ge   dge 

Say the sounds read the text.

 

Suddenly, Joe the hedgehog poked his nose out from under the hedge.  He had just found a gem and was very excited.  He took the gem to his friend Jack.  Jack look at the gem and wanted to swap it for a badge.  Joe said no and wandered off.  He walked over the bridge and met a giant snail who took his gem and covered it in slime!

 

Make sure you read it until you are fluent.  Now list the j sounded words in your purple book and draw a picture to go with what you've read.
