This term we are learning about the continent Africa. We will be covering the country Kenya and comparing how similar and different Kenya is to the UK in Geography. In Science, we will be learning about animals, naming and classifying them and learning about their diets. We will be comparing animals found in the UK and in Kenya. We will also be looking at a range of African patterns and trying to replicate some of them ourselves using printmaking. Check out our Knowledge Organiser's for our two main driver topics below.
As part of our topic we have visited Noah's ark zoo farm in Bristol to identify and name lots of animals. Take a look at the photos below... What animals can you see?
Metis class became scientists this week by observing closely, asking questions and investigating animal poo. We looked for clues in the poo to tell us what diet the animal had and we were able to identify herbivores, carnivores and omnivores just from their poo! We had a very exciting afternoon and Natalia even said 'I love being a scientist!'.
