Hi and Welcome to Pastoral Support at Studley Green Primary School.
Is there something we can help you with?
Our Studley Green Primary School mission statement says that Studley Green Primary School is a place ‘where children feel safe, loved and supported as they grow and develop into confident and successful individuals’ and we all work together as a community to make sure this is true for everyone.
However there are times when we might not feel safe, loved and supported and we might not know who we can talk to about this. At Studley Green Primary School we care about everyone and if there is something that is worrying you or making you feel sad, you can find lots of people who will listen and want to help.
You can talk to Mrs Garbutt or your Classroom staff, to Mrs Andriopoulou or Mrs Vinicombe-Taylor, to the staff out with you at playtime. In fact you will find lots of listening ears at Studley Green Primary School and no problem is too big. There are lots of ways we can help you.
Pastoral Support during lockdown
Lockdown is a stressful time and many children are feeling emotionally vulnerable, we would like to assure you that we will continue to offer pastoral support if your child would like to receive it. Children who would normally have ELSA support with Mrs Andriopoulou or Therapeutic Mentoring support with Mrs Vinicombe-Taylor who are currently in school can continue to have their one to one sessions. Children who are home learnng and would like to continue to have someone to one support will be able to have their sessions by phone or with remote contact. Mrs A and Mrs VT will be in touch soon.
In the meantime we thought the following resources would be of interest and useful……
Colour Monsters.
These are our Colour Monsters, they help us know how we are feeling. It is great to see so many of you who are home learning telling us how you are feeling and how you are getting on when you register in the mornings. Remember that some of the colour monster feelings are not helpful, talk to someone if you are feeling very blue or very grey or very red!
