Easter activities to keep you busy.
I have been busy pinching ideas for Easter activities for you to do if you fancy a distraction or something to do. You do not have to do any them. If you do, make sure you pop them into your book or email them to me. I would love to see what you have been up to over Easter.
We hope you all have a lovely Easter. Pan class team xx
Welcome to Pan Class.
We are an Early Years/KS1 Resource Base supporting children with social communication difficulties and complex needs with their development and learning.
Term 4
Growing
This term we will be exploring all things that grow.
We will start off by finding out about life cycles, we shall go frog hunting in our wildlife area and see if we can spot any frog spawn or even tadpoles.
We will also look at how we grow and change. In class the children will have the opportunity to look after the babies in the baby clinic.
Finally we shall be planting lots of seeds and bulbs in our class garden patch. We shall find out what plants need to grow.
In addition to this we will be meeting with Luna class every week for music. We will be learning a song about frogs. We will also be learning a group song for our Sing up assembly where we will perform it to the rest of the school.
Term 3 Transport
Buses, car, trains, planes, bikes, hot air balloons, you name it we are learning about it this term!
We will be making transport out of junk, designing and making our own hot air balloons, aeroplanes and boats. We will be testing out our deigns to see what flies, sinks and floats.
We will listening to stories about transport and journeys as well as learning facts about old and new types of transport.
We will be bringing our own bikes and scooters in to talk about as well as looking at a real car, inside and out. What does an engine look like?
We hope to test out some real life transport by hopping on a bus and maybe even going on a train!
We can't wait, so all aboard!
Bears, bears, bears... This term we shall be learning about bears and listening to lots of bear stories. We shall be focussing on Goldilocks and the three bears as well as exploring non-fiction books to find out information about bears.
We shall be bringing our own bears into class for a Teddy bears picnic (indoors, we predict!) as well as getting creative with bear masks and bear songs.
Term one
We have seven new children joining Pan class this year which means there are lots of new people to make friends with. Over this term we will be finding out about each other. We will learn each others names as well as sharing things that are special to us. We will also be working on being more independent and finding out how to look after our bodies. Pan class have moved to a different classroom and we are enjoying exploring the brand new reading corner as well as the bigger learning space outdoors. |
Term 6
Animal adventure
This term we will be learning about all kinds of different animals. We will begin with under the sea followed by jungle animals and farm animals. We will be finding out about each others pets and how to look after them.
We have some exciting trips planned too... Watch this space for the fantastic photos!
Bugs, bugs, bugs
Pan class will be focussing on all things that creep and crawl this term.
We will be hunting for bugs in our wildlife area as well as finding out facts about them.
In class we are busy preparing a Minibeast Museum for parents and children to come and visit at the end of the term.
Look at all the fabulous learning we have been doing...
Each dinosaur's job is to help the children think about how they are learning.
An Explorosaurus will have a go at an activity.
A Tryasaurus will focus and be motivated and resilient.
Finally a Thinkosaurus will plan, adapt and evaluate the activity they are engaged in.
Our dinosaurs are used throughout the school to describe the Characteristics of Effective Learning .
