Welcome to Pan Class.
We are an Early Years/KS1 Resource Base supporting children with social communication difficulties and complex needs with their development and learning.
This term we will be learning about all kinds of different animals. We will begin with under the sea followed by jungle animals and farm animals. We will be finding out about each others pets and how to look after them.
We have some exciting trips planned too... Watch this space for the fantastic photos!
Bugs, bugs, bugs
Pan class will be focussing on all things that creep and crawl this term.
We will be hunting for bugs in our wildlife area as well as finding out facts about them.
In class we are busy preparing a Minibeast Museum for parents and children to come and visit at the end of the term.
Look at all the fabulous learning we have been doing...
This term Pan Class will be investigating growth and change. We will start by finding out about a frog’s life cycle, we will be looking for our own school frogs in the wild area.
As the weather improves we will start looking for signs of spring. We already have daffodils growing in our garden! We will be planting vegetables and sunflowers to add to our collection.
At the end of the term we shall be exploring how we have grown and changed since we were babies.
It's cold outside
This term we will be investigating winter. Look at what we have been up to so far...
What do you celebrate?
This term in Pan class we are getting to know each other. We will be finding out about each other and learning to play with each other.
See our topic letter and Medium term plan attached above.
Each dinosaur's job is to help the children think about how they are learning.
An Explorosaurus will have a go at an activity.
A Tryasaurus will focus and be motivated and resilient.
Finally a Thinkosaurus will plan, adapt and evaluate the activity they are engaged in.
Our dinosaurs are used throughout the school to describe the Characteristics of Effective Learning .
