Welcome back. We hope you all had a lovely break.
Every day home learning will be sent through the Seesaw app. If your child is in school that day they will be doing the same learning with us so will not need to complete it at home.
If your child is not in school please register first by clicking on the link above and then check Seesaw for updates each day.
There will be a home learning pack for you to collect from school which will include everything you need to complete your learning and we will signpost you to the resources you need each day.
We will be posting videos and activities for you to practise at home and really look forward to seeing all of your fantastic learning through the app and sharing our successes together.
Welcome to our class page. This is where you will find our timetables, topic letters and long and medium term plans, as well as photos of our incredible learning journey throughout the year.
Pan class is one of three social communication and complex needs resource bases in our school. We have ten children from reception to year two, all with unique and wonderful abilities.
Miss Walters and Mrs Offiah are the teachers in Pan class. Miss Walters will be teaching Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Mrs Offiah on Thursday and Friday. We have five dedicated, passionate teaching assistants: Mrs Gawthorpe, Miss Webley, Miss Holloway, Miss Austin (Thursday & Friday) and Mrs Offiah (Monday-Wednesday).
Our aim in Pan class is to deliver a curriculum full of awe and wonder, to spark creativity and empower our children with resilience, determination and the independent skills they need for the future.
Communication is at the heart of everything we do in Pan class. We use Makaton and visual supports such as Picture exchange communication system (PECS) throughout the day to support and scaffold the children's learning as well as our Attention Wiltshire sessions, which help us to sustain and build our attention and listening skills.
Teach Handwriting
As a school we are following the Teach Handwriting scheme. If you are doing any writing at home with your children I encourage you to follow the animations on the website. This will ensure consistency between home and school. This term we will have 2 sessions a week either writing to music using the Pre handwriting patterns, or handwriting practise following the Print Beginners letter formation guidance. There are also lots of really useful resources which are free to access from the site if you wish to use them (Link below)
During our cooking sessions we are learning how to follow pictorial instructions.
Our focus this term is developing our spreading skills.
