Trips

At Studley Green Primary School, education extends far beyond the classroom. We believe that meaningful learning happens when children experience the world around them. That’s why we offer a wide range of immersive, real-world opportunities that bring the curriculum to life.

Our pupils don’t just learn about history, they walk through it at places like Trowbridge Museum and Stonehenge. They explore wildlife at Longleat, uncover scientific wonders at Bristol Zoo, and even experience democracy in action at the Houses of Parliament. From the shores of Weymouth Beach to the excitement of Young Voices, our children engage in unforgettable adventures that deepen their understanding and spark curiosity.

Closer to home, our school grounds offer rich learning environments. Our forest area hosts outdoor lessons that foster exploration and teamwork. The school allotment teaches sustainability and healthy living, while our ponds serve as hands-on science labs for studying aquatic ecosystems.

These experiences aren’t just memorable, they’re transformational. They build confidence, resilience, and a sense of community. Our Year 6 residential trip is a highlight, offering pupils a chance to grow in independence and forge lasting friendships.

Every trip is carefully planned to complement classroom learning, led by trained staff and supported by robust safety measures. At Studley Green, we ensure that every child has the chance to live the curriculum and love learning.

Extracurricular clubs

We offer a wide range of after-school clubs, most of which are free. Recent extracurricular activities include choir, sports clubs, coding club and 3D printing club. Parents are informed of these via our communication platform ParentMail. For more information, please contact the school office.
