English - Little Boat
A little, red boat is launched. We don't know who by or where but it sets off on a journey.
Watch the short animation 'Little Boat' by following the link below:
When you have watched the film create a story map to show where the Little Boat travels and use your map to write a first person narrative for the animation.
As the main character in the animation is the Little Red Boat your narrative will be from the viewpoint of the boat. You will need to maintain a consistent viewpoint by using personal pronouns and I would also like to see you using a a range of conjunctions and adverbials to show the passing of time. You may find the word bank below helpful - these are just some suggestions you may have much better ideas of your own.
Personal Pronouns | Conjunctions and adverbials | Vocabulary |
I me mine ours you he him she her it they them we us |
at first in the beginning before long suddenly just at that moment meanwhile finally eventually after a while soon afterwards just then until then in the end in due course |
voyage destination ocean journey calm current merciless endless mighty powerful deep dark distant blue, azure, cobalt, sapphire, |
When you have finished writing your narrative ask an adult at home to video you reading your story aloud - send your video to callisto@studleygreen.wilts.sch.uk
