Write a new title in your Home Learning Journal to separate your learning tasks

Reading

We are starting Chapter FOUR this week. Read the first two pages and answer the questions in your Home Learning Journal.

 

Find and copy ONE word which means the same as:

 

  1. a land vehicle that slides across a surface, usually of ice or snow.
  2. a item of clothing that keeps you warm
  3. go or come up a slope or staircase
  4. be in or move into a sloping position
  5. a way or track laid down for walking or made by continual treading
  6. means the same as appear, hover take shape

This week we are going to continue to learn the /oe/ sound

 

Can you remember some of the way we can spell the /oe/ sound.

(hint - oe, o-e, oa and ow and ou, ough and o)

We are going to use these 10 words and add 10 more to focus our learning today.

In your learning journal can you go back to your table like the one below and write each new word under the correct spelling. When you are reading books alone or with an adult and you come across an /o/ word please write it in your table.
