We are starting a brand new topic this term all about TOYS!

As with every lesson, let's start by recapping all the sounds we have learnt - please say the sounds along with the video as you normally would at school.
English:
This term in English we are going to be learning about instructions. We have learned a bit about instructions and algorithms in computing last term - remember an instruction is when you tell someone to do something.
Today I want to see what you know about instructions so please can you write set of instructions on:
How to make a cheese sandwich.
Challenge: Can you read and follow your instructions to make a cheese sandwich for lunch (if you don't have cheese in the fridge choose a different filling).
Spellings:
In your packs you will find a sheet with lots of spellings on. Please can you read as many spellings out loud as you can.

Practice with your finger the letter formation. Then write the letter as many times as you can fit across a line in your book.
Maths:
Go onto numbots for 15 minutes.
Practice counting in 1’s to 100.
Practice counting in 10’s to 100.
Practice counting in 5’s to 100.
Practice counting in 2’s to 30.
Write your numbers 1 to 20 in your home learning books.

Before half term we were looking at height and length. We looked at this lesson on Friday - familiarise yourself with the lets learn. Then I would like you to measure 4 things using your hands or feet around your house. Once you have measured things in your house, complete the worksheet below.
Reading:
As it is a new term we are going to be reading a new story. Take a look at the front cover below and answer these questions. (Grown-ups help them to read the question and discuss the answers together).
What do you think the book is going to be about?
What is a museum? Have you ever been to one?
Do you have any toys that look like the ones on the front cover?
What is the title of the book?
Who is the author?

Warm Up
Using a tennis racket or a book/cushion, can you balance any sized ball on that and walk around the area?
Can you then go backwards around the area?
Can you balance the ball and jog around the area?
