Maths task
Parents please can you open the following bbc webpage and help your son join in with the Maths activity each day.
BBC Bitesize daily lessons Y1 ( or if you prefer some of you can use Y2)
There are also some English and topic activities you might like to use too.
English phonic/ writing task:
We are split into 2 groups for our phonics work.
- If you are in Mrs Masters’ group [ BH SE LL HW RL LB] then please COPY OUT THESE WORDS** and then CUT OUT EACH WORD:-

- **we will be using these words to play lots of phonic games this week and next week, so please feel free to write each word using felt-tips onto cardboard ( perhaps the back of a cereal packet?)
- 5 Games to play this week using the words:-
- Choose any 2 words and read the words ( repeat using 2 more words)
- Choose any 2 words and make up a silly sentence using those words ( parents perhaps you can write the sentence down?)
- Choose any 3 words and copy into your home learning journal- use coloured crayons to do this
- Choose 4 words and place them around the room/ house/ garden and ask your son to run to one of the words you shout out ( repeat using a different 4 words)
- Put all the words on the floor or table and ask your son to
- ‘Find a word that has one letter,
- ‘Find a word that has two letters,
- ‘Find a word that has three letters and then
- ‘Find a word that has four letters’
