Today we are going to learn same sound different spelling j      - j     g      ge     dge

Say the sounds read the words

Now choose 3 words to write in sentences - make sure you spell them correctly.

Can you find the j sound in any of the words in your reading books?

Read your Year 1 and 2 common exception word sheet.  Choose 1 to write 10 times that you find tricky.  Maybe you could write it on a piece of paper and put it somewhere where you will see it for a few days.  Every time you go past it you can say the sound read the word.

This week we are going to create and write our own dragon factfiles using the information we learnt in science and the dragon we created on Wednesday in Topic.  Fact files are sentences about something which gives you information.

Today we are going to write some statement sentences about our dragon.

In science we learnt about different animals  What did you decide a dragon would be?  Write this as a statement sentence.  Did you decide reptile?     amphian?    bird?

In science we learnt about Herbivores, Carnivores and Omnivores.  Decide which your dragon is going to be and tell me what it eats in your second sentence and why.

e.g.  Mrs Cottle try

The Ruby Red Fire Dragon  is a  small reptile with scaly skin and powerful wings.  It is a omnivore and likes to eat ants, beetles and woodlice which it heats using its fiery breathe.  The Ruby Red Fire Dragon loves worms because they have a crunchy inside.

The underlined bits are changeable to anything you want the funnier or stranger the better.

Remember you can make it be what every you want from huge to tiny, from herbivore to carnivore eating and drinking what ever you decide.

Great creating tomorrow we will write some more

Log in to Numbots or TTrockstars and show me how good you can be.

We can still.....

[   ]  +  4 =   10            [   ]  +  40 = 100        10 - [   ]   = 4         100   -  [   ]  = 40

What do you notice?

34 + 28 = [  ]   59  + 22 = [  ]

We are learning to read and use information and graphs

The key information here is

It is telling us we have to count each cube as 5.  we are counting in 5s

Count in 5s to 60.  This will help you

Use the Pictogragh above to answer these questions
