Good morning Metis class and welcome to week 3's learning. 

 

Soundswrite:

As with every lesson, let's start by recapping all the sounds we have learnt - please say the sounds along with the video as you normally would at school.

For remote learning -Say the sounds with me like we do every morning in class.

The second video is our soundswrite lesson today where we will be continuing with the ir,er,ur,or sound. You will need to pause the video when I tell you to in order to write the words.

Monday 18th

Spellings:

In your packs you will find a sheet with lots of spellings on. Please can you read as many spellings out loud as you can. Choose a line of spellings (5 spellings) and write them in your books.

 

English:

Today we are going to be making sure we know Bob’s diary entry really well. Usually at school we would make actions up to help us remember the words so at home I would like you to think of your own actions to help you remember the diary entry.

You will find a lot of actions for words in the diary entry on this poster below:

Challenge: Can you retell the diary entry out loud using your actions? Get a grown up to record you and send a video to our class email at metis@studleygreen.wilts.sch.uk


Handwriting:

Practice with your finger the letter formation. Then write the letter as many times as you can fit across a line in your book. 

 

Maths:

Go onto numbots for 15 minutes.

Practice counting in 1’s to 100.

Practice counting in 10’s to 100.

Practice counting in 5’s to 100.

Practice counting in 2’s to 30.

 

We are starting a new chapter today - all about numbers to 20.
