Monday 11th January

 We are learning about  naming positions

 In your Home learning journame write down...

  1. Who is 2nd?
  2.  Who is third?
  3.  Who is 5th?
  4.  Who is in front of 2nd place?
  5. Why don't you get some toys and write the labels 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th

 Decide who is first  or 5th?- Take a photo  and email to me or stick it in your book or draw it. 

 Or have a race in the garden with your family and give them each the correct label.

We are going to start our new class book today.

 Please write all the vowels:- a e i o u  (one each), on a piece of paper or card or post-it

Then using these consonants:- s t p m r c n  can you make ten 3 or 4 sound words

 e.g. pen, pest, mat

 Remember to say the sound, and read the  word, then

Say the sound and write the word. 

Try saying or  writing 2 or 3 sentences using one or more of the words.

Each Monday we write our weekend news.

 Please draw a picture of something  you have eaten, played with and seen over the weekend. Then write 3 sentences. Remember CAPITAL letters and finger spaces and full stops.

e.g. On Saturday I ate beans on toast. I played on the trampoline in the garden. I saw fog out of my window.


 I would like you pretend to be an explorer.

 We are going to listen to the  story of Man on the moon ( A day in the life of Bob) by Simon Bartram.
