Here is a link to an interactive clock; an analogue and digital clock:

Today's lesson:

Reading and ordering time (presented in different ways)

In this lesson you will learn to read and order the time on different clocks and read and order time in written form. Click on the link below to start the lesson:

Suffixes are letters that can be added to the end of words to change their meaning.

  • Adding the suffix -ation, turns a verb into a noun. For example, 'inform' becomes 'information'.
  • If the word ends with 'ne', 've' or 're', drop the 'e' then add -ation. 'Prepare' becomes 'preparation'.

Work your way down the list of words taking two each day, writing each word three times and then writing a sentence for each word. Ask someone in your house to help test you.

How do you think Tilly is going to stop the men from taking the time machine? Draw a picture that shows what you think Tilly's plan might be and we'll see if you are correct next week!

Whilst you have your drawing materials out, why not try drawing Tilly herself? This video tutorial is by the person who knows how to draw her best, illustrator of the book Danny Noble.

Today you will be looking at the beautiful artwork by David Mackie. He creates amazing paintings of animals in their habitats, but with an interesting twist! Have a look at some examples of his artwork below:

You can look at more of his artwork and prints here:

Your activity:

Choose an animal, maybe it's your favourite:

  • research what kind of habitat it lives in
  • sketch some images that represents where it lives, for example, if it lives in trees, try drawing different types of trees until your happy with one of your versions.
  • try sketching the outline of the animal, if you can't, see if you could ask someone in your house, or ask someone at home if they are able to print an outline of your animal.

Today, you are just planning your ideas, next week you will be gathering all your ideas to see if you can create your own David Mackie inspired animals in their own habitats.
