Happy Friday Everybody!
Well done for completing another week of home learning, you are all absolute superstars
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
Keep up the hard work, Titan don't stand a chance!
Task 1: 10 minutes on TTRockstars
Task 2: Complete a page from your arithmetic booklet (if you have run out of pages, complete a page from the other maths booklet that is in your home learning pack)
Task 3: Complete pages 141-142 in your workbook. This work links to yesterday's textbook pages and guided practice, so refer back to those for help
Use this link to practise some of our Y5 and 6 spelling words: https://spellingframe.co.uk/spelling-rule/42/53-Word-list-years-5-and-6---a-to-av-
If you are unable to access the page, this week's words to practise are below:
Write a newspaper report based on our picture for this week, you should focus on the dinosaur's rampage through the city and his pursuit of Tim.
Challenge: Include quotations from Tim and/or a witness, bonus points if your quotations show how the person speaks - this could be through using more informal language than throughout the rest of your article or giving them an accent.
This link will take you to a helpful article, which will remind you of the different features of a newspaper report:
Below the image is a checklist with the different features of a newspaper report, you can also find it here: https://www.twinkl.co.uk/resource/t2-e-4914-ks2-features-of-a-newspaper-report-checklist if you'd like to print it. This can be used to help you with your writing and to self assess at the end.
I have created a Book Review page for Oberon class, I have started adding my reviews and eventually you will be sharing yours too. Have a look at my first review here: https://www.studleygreenprimary.co.uk/book-reviews/
Today's task is for you to assess my review, you might wish to compare it to the template I've added to the same page to see what I have and haven't included. Answer the questions below in your journals:
You should all still be reading regularly while you are learning at home. Start to think about the books you are reading at the moment or a book you have finished recently that could be the focus of your book review. At the end of next week I will be asking you to start sending in your reviews to me, make sure you're reading so that you can complete that task. The books you review don't have to be long ones.
French - Les Couleurs
Match the French colours with the English, the first one has been done for you.
Record this in your journals as 'bleu = blue'
