Can you retell the whole story. If you cant remember click on the stars for each page from this week.

What was Tosh looking for ? Did he find one? What was his pal called?

  • Can you practise counting BACKWARDS? Start with number 20 and stop when you get to zero! Use your number cards to help you – place them in order and touch each one as you count backwards!
  • Now that we have had lots of fun investigating with water and containers – can you order the containers from the one that holds the most water to the one that holds the least water?
  • What do you notice about the containers? Does the biggest container hold the most water? Does the tallest container hold more water? Talk to your grown up about the answers!

  • Ask a grown up to flash all the letter cards and get you to say the sounds as you see them.
  • Ask a grown up to flash all the high frequency word cards and get you to say the word you see.
  • Today we are going to practise our handwriting! Let’s start by warming up our fingers…can you touch each fingertip using your thumb tip? Work your way along your fingers and back again. Next let’s scrunch our fingers into a fist and then stretch them open wide.  Repeat this five times.

  • Today we would like you to practise forming all the letters that are in the curves family …see below. Remember to start at the top of each letter.  Fill a line with each letter and try really hard to make them all the same size and sit on the line!
  • If you need to know how the letters are formed click below / copy the address into your search engine and it should take you to a page where you can see each of the letters being formed.
  • Can you think of any words that begin with these letters from the curves family? Make a list for each letter of words you can think of.
  •  Have fun!

These are the letters in the curves letter family...

Daily Challenge

  • Today we would like you to have a water relay race with your family! You will need two pans or two buckets and a cup.
  • Fill one of the buckets with water - put one at one end of the garden and the other a little distance away.
  • The aim of the game is to transfer the water from one bucket to the other bucket using a plastic cup / bottle. Try running without dropping any water - see how many times it takes you to run between the buckets to transfer the water! The game is finished once all the water is in the other bucket.
  • If you have a big family you could make two teams and compete against each other!
  • Have a splashing time and enjoy the weekend!
