Soundswrite:
Please say the sounds along with the video as you normally would at school.
Today we will be using all our knowledge of the ir,er,ur and or sound to decode and read this story.
Say the sounds and read the words for the story.
After reading the story, answer these questions:
Why does Meg hide under the bed?
How do Dan and Viv get dirty?
What do you think Meg will do next?
Spellings:
In your packs you will find a sheet with lots of spellings on. Please can you read as many spellings out loud as you can. Choose a line of spellings (5 spellings) and write them in your books.
English:
Reread Bob’s diary in a quiet voice and then again in a loud voice. How do you think Bob would say it - does he have a loud voice or a quiet voice? Or a soft voice?
Can you make a list of adjectives that you can see in Bob’s diary entry. Write these in your home learning journey.
(For grown ups: Let your child sound out and write the words themselves rather than writing it for them)
Challenge: Can you write a list of your own adjectives? Take a look in your bedroom and write a list of things you can see for example ‘A spotty teddy’, ‘A pink duvet’.

Practice with your finger the letter formation. Then write the letter as many times as you can fit across a line in your book.
Maths:
Go onto numbots for 10 minutes - your log in is stuck in your home learning book.
Practice counting in 1’s to 100.
Practice counting in 10’s to 100.
Practice counting in 5’s to 100.
Practice counting in 2’s to 30.
Work through the slides below and complete the answers in your home learning book. For this lesson use cubes, buttons, beans, or whatever you have at home to help you.
