Good Morning Oberon

Happy Friday! I hope you have all enjoyed your learning this week. Have a fantastic weekend!

Challenge day!

How many of these challenges can you complete? It might be fun to work together as a family to work your way through.

Yesterday you wrote a story in 3rd person, today I'd like you to take that same story and write the dream description in 1st person. You could be the child in the dream who is trying to escape or shadow serpent who is trying to attack him/her (or maybe your shadow serpent was quite friendly really and they're just misunderstood, or played sneaky tricks instead of attacking).

  • Describe the action
  • Describe how your character is feeling
  • Build tension by using a mixture of long descriptive sentences and short snappy sentences
  • Use figurative language

Listen to Chapters 1 & 2 of Fing, by David Walliams, using the link above. You can listen to more if you would like to.

After you have listened to the story draw a story board or comic strip that retells what happens in those chapters.

We spent a lovely afternoon making origami for our D.T topic earlier this year. Use the instructions below to complete an origami project at home. There are lots of origami projects on YouTube if you've like to try some different designs.
