A little English learning with our workout today as we revisit syllables!
SPELLINGS:
Today, I would like you to do speed spell. Set yourself 1 minute for each spelling and see how many times you can write it (without looking). Then, at the end, count up how many words you have written correctly. This will depend on how many times you have written each word. You may have a score of 30 or 40! When you are done, email me your score and I will keep a record. You have to try and beat your score each week!

ENGLISH - New section with a title of English and the LO written please.
LO: I am learning to innovate part of a given story. - The setting.
Now that you are getting the hang of innovating and have had some practice at this. We are going to see if we can take another part of the story 'The game' and see if we can innovate (change) it, so that we can make it our own. Today, we will be writing our own settings.
Remember, we will follow the structure of the story very, very closely. Below is the part of the story that describes the setting in 'the game.' Read it and see if you can learn it. (This is imitation)
Then plan your own ideas for the setting.
1. Who is in the story.
2. Where are they?
3. Describe it.
4. What are they doing?
5. Why are they doing this?
6. What do they find?
7. Describe it.
8. What do they do with it?
Maths
Start with your 3 x table and then 15 minutes of TTRockstars. We are still sharing certificates (if you are top 3 I will post them to you!). Last week, Oberon got 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Come on! We need to knock them off the top spot!
Then have a go at your fluent in 5
Today we are going to look at using the area (or grid method) to multiply TWO digit numbers by TWO digit numbers. Have a look at the video on white Rose (the 4th video on the page - link is below) and this bbc page to help you. Then complete the sheet. Don't worry if this is tricky, we will be looking at it again next week.

Reading
Today we are going to use Deepening understanding to read and learn about 'Solar Eclipses'. You will read a part of the text and then answer the questions as you go through. Remember to read very carefully, and think about what the questions mean. Don't just jump straight to answer - always take time.
If you are still unable to access the assignments please let us know so that we are aware and can support you.
Art
This term in art we are going to be learning about two famous 'space' artists, Roger Dean and Peter Thorpe.
Below are some images of Roger Dean and here is a link to his website.
