Take a look at our celebration video below of all the fantastic learning that has been going on this week below:

Soundswrite:

As with every lesson, let's start by recapping all the sounds we have learnt - please say the sounds along with the video as you normally would at school.

Sound cards

For remote learning -Say the sounds with me like we do every morning in class.

Say the sounds and read these words below.

Mow   throw   window    wow  now  cow

Do you see how they have the same spelling ‘ow’ in them but they make different sounds? Just like Miss Broadhead did in Wednesay’s lesson can you write two headings in your books like this:

Ow:                                                        Ow:

Then can you sort the words under the correct headings according to what sound the ‘ow’ spelling makes?

Take a look at Wednesday’s video here if you are stuck:

Spellings:

In your packs you will find a sheet with lots of spellings on. Please can you read as many spellings out loud as you can. Choose a line of spellings (5 spellings) and write them in your books.
