Science Fair at John of Gaunt - 18th March 2022

Last week, Mrs Inman and 6 Year 5 children went to John of Gaunt for the Trowbridge schools annual ‘Science Fair’

The children had created a project on optical illusions and at the fair presented their research to the other schools.

They also had the opportunity to hear about the other schools projects which included: identifying worms, amazing ants, bionic hands, rockets, and gummy bears!

On top of this, they also had the chance to go into the science laboratory and to conduct an investigation where they had to create 4 different colours using acids, alkalis and universal indicators. Then we made our solutions bubble with the help of some dry ice.

The children had a fantastic experience, and Mrs Inman said that they were articulate, engaged and excellent ambassadors for our school!

We were delighted to Come 2nd place with our 'Nowhere Emporium' door.
