Pandora - Year 1 and 2

We are Pandora Class!

We love to think, try and explore.

Welcome to our class page. Pandora Class currently has 24 pupils. We are supported in our learning by our teacher Miss Broadhead and our learning support assistants Mrs Smith and Mrs Baker.

Here's what our year looks like ...

Term 6- Oh I do love to be beside the seaside!

Police Visit

As part of our topic 'People who help us' we have asked for helpful visitors to come into school and teach us about how they can help us. We were really excited for three police officers AND two police dogs to come and visit us. We asked lots of questions and found out all about how they can help us and what to do if we are ever worried or in danger.

Term 5- People who help us

Nando’s

We were so lucky to be invited to Nando’s this term to finish off our learning about chickens. We learnt about how chicken helps us to have a balanced diet and why some people choose to eat it as a source of protein. We really enjoyed designing our own burger, making it AND eating it.

We are so excite that from the 11th March to 22nd March we are going to be looking after real eggs and watching them hatch. Please feel free to pop into Metis class (next door) after school to see them.

Term 4 Topic letter - What came first the chicken or the egg?

Glass artwork gallery:

We were so excited to share our glass artwork, that we created a few weeks ago, to the rest of the school. We were so brave talking to lots of older children and adults about how we had made our artwork and being able to answer their questions.

Knock, knock who's there?

Over the next 6 weeks we will be exploring a range of different materials and visiting a glass workshop where we will have the opportunity to learn more about glass and create our own piece of glass art work. We will also be learning to retell The Three Little Pigs story and writing our own version.

Term 3- Knock knock, who's there?

Rainbows at our fingertips!

Over the next 7 weeks we will be exploring our artistic nature in many different ways.  Pandora class will be using different media and medium to create a variety of pictures and crafts.  We will also be exploring why we are remembering Bonfire night and the Centenary of World War I ending.  Please read our topic letter above to find out more.
