Expectation

Welcome To

Studley Green Primary School

Our school is a unique and special place, at the heart of the community, where children feel safe, loved and supported as they grow into who they are. Fully inclusive, we promote acceptance and embrace difference. We believe that an outstanding education is the single most important factor in ensuring success in life and we are relentless in the pursuit of this. We expect the highest level of engagement from all who share in our vision of 'beyond expectation'.

Luna - Reception

Welcome to Luna Class!

We are the Foundation Stage Class. We have two teachers Mrs Solomons who works on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Mrs McGhee who works on a Thursday and Friday.

We are very lucky to have Mrs Marszal and Mrs Whitmarsh who all work in Luna class to support the children in their learning.

Each term we will be learning a new topic. You will be given an overview which shows you what your child will be learning each week.

Term 1 2017

This term is all about finding out about the children in Luna class. Being new to school there are lots of exciting opportunities to get to know our friends and our teachers. We will be talking about our families and finding out about what we like and don't like, what makes us happy and sad.

We will also be learning about what we can do to keep healthy. The school's theme is healthy me and we will be joining in with this. We shall be getting a visitor in to talk about how we can look after our teeth. We will also be learning about healthy foods and what makes a healthy lunchbox.

We shall be testing how fit we are and doing regular exercise to see if we can get fitter.

As well as all that we shall be starting our new phonics program Sounds-Write and using the Ten town website to learn our numbers.

In Luna class we have our own class email. You can send us photos and video clips of what you have been up to at home. We will then share them in class lunar@studleygreen.wilts.sch.uk ( please note there is an r on the end of Luna class)
