V&A Visit!

Here are some pictures of our visit to the V&A in London:

Welcome to Ganymede class!
Ganymede class is a year 3 class with 26 children: There are 14 girls and 12 boys. Mrs Jeffery is our class teacher and is supported by Miss Styles our LSA.

On this page you will find lots of information about what the children will be learning this year. Please keep coming back to look for updates.

Please can you ensure that P.E. kits are in school every day from Monday 5th September. Ganymede class also have the excitement of swimming this year! Swimming lessons will be at the Clarendon Academy led by swimming coaches. The lessons will take place on Wednesday afternoons. The children are required to bring a swimming kit and towel each week and will be walking to and from Clarendon.
Spelling, mathletics and reading homework will come home weekly, please encourage your child to complete a little each night to help practise their maths, comprehension and spelling skills.

For this year's overview and termly newsletters, look below!

Children are expected to read every day, for at least 10 minutes; this will be accompanied by a comprehension question. This will enable the children to develop their reading as well as their comprehension skills. In Ganymede class we have high expectations for presentation, this is expected to continue in their homework and reading journals.

Rewards are given to those children demonstrating this!

The children's spelling homework links with the spellings they will have been learning at school. They will need to recall the spelling rules for that week to be successful in learning new words.

Every Friday, the children will be set several pieces of Mathletics homework which will complement the learning they have done during the week. If the children cannot access Mathletics at home, they can use our Computer Room during lunchtime.
